The congregation of the Sisters of the Presentation of Mary (P.M.) was founded on the 21st of November 1796 in Thueyts, within the diocese of the Viviers, France, by Blessed Anne – Marie Rivier.

The Christian education of the youth is the chief objective of the Congregation. One phrase sums up the spirit of the Congregation. “A strong and generous love of the Lord.” Generosity being the basis of their lives, the Sisters give themselves entirely and wholeheartedly to God and to those entrusted to their care.

The Sisters of the Presentation of Mary are in many parts of the world: France, Italy, Spain, Portugal, Switzerland, Ireland, England, Madeira, Canada, United States, Peru, Brazil, Mozambique, Senegal, Cameroun, Japan, Indonesia and the Philippines.

The Sisters of the Presentation of Mary arrived in the Philippines in October 1950 and first worked among the Muslims in Sulu. In 1953, they accepted the offer to teach in Davao schools and in 1962, their zeal spread to Cotabato as well.
