Parents are their children’s guardian angels. They wake up everyday to provide for their children’s need. they risk their lives for their children’s sake. Parents are heroes. Parents noble persons. They are the ones who will selflessly love and guide each child no matter what circumstance is.
A parent is not just a mother or a father. They can be a grandmother, a grandfather, a relative, or a guardian. Like cellphones that comes in different brands, parents too come in different faces. A heart that truly loves and cares is parent’s heart no matter who owner is.
To pay tribute to all selfless parents, the Grade School Department celebrated Parents’ Day last February 11, 2018 with the theme “Parents: Instruments in the way to Holiness”.
The Parents’ Day celebration was divided into two parts. In the morning, a Holy Mass was offered followed by a short tribute to parents. The program comprised different presentations to thank all parents. It was also the venue for pupils to give their heartfelt thanks their parents through cards, flowers, and gifts.
The Festival Contest was the highlight of the day’s celebration. This was done not just to thank the parents but at the same time to showcase the talents of the Grade School pupils. It was participated by each grade level.
The Grade One presented Dinagat Festival. The Grade Two pupils were all smiles in their Mascara Festival. The very energetic Grade Three pupils showcased their Dinagyang Festival. The gymnasium was in great uproar when the Grade Four pupils showed the pride of Dabawenyos through their Kadayawan Festival.
